MADURAI: An awareness event on ‘Drugs Free Tamil Nadu’ was organised at Nagarathinam Angalammal Arts and Science College near airport at Perungudi in Madurai today- on August 12th 2024.
More than 200 students participated and took pledge to fight against drugs and some students prepared creative posters on dangers of drugs. This program was organized by the Campus Caring Cell and Discipline Committee of the college.
P.Alagumalai, supervisor and health inspector of Valaiyankulam Primary Health Centre had administered the pledge against drugs while police Sub-Inspectors of Perungudi police station Mr.Baskaran and Mr.Iraniyarkumar had addressed the students and gave awareness.
Dr.V.Vasanthkumar, Principal, welcomed the gathering while assistant professor of physical education Mr.M.Kumar had proposed a vote of thanks. Today’s event was organized with the support of college chairman S.Nagarathinam and college correspondent Dr.N.Jegatheesan, a press release received from the college has said.
