MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had today lashed out at film actor Vijay for his anti-NEET stand and accused that his stand on NEET exam is a ‘misguided rhetoric’ and an a “stark example of political opportunism which is devoid of truth and understanding”.
“Actor Vijay ( his recently floated party is Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam)…. is unaware of NEET exam’s benefits, he is perpetuating misinformation…..Vijay’s motives are clear, for political gain. By backing the DMK resolution against NEET exam for medical college admissions, actor Vijay is seeking popularity and support from the DMK government for his coming move release of ‘GOAT’. Actor Vijay is damaging the fabric of India’s pride and educational system,” Mr.A.N.S.Prasad, Tamil Nadu BJP State Spokesperson, has said in a strongly worded press statement issued from Chennai today- on July 4th 2024.
Mr.A.N.S.Prasad has said that it is time for actor Vijay to cease his anti-NEET drama and acknowledge the truth about this iconic exam because NEET had empowered poor students and promoted merit-based opportunities for those who want to do MBBS etc in medical education.
