Income Tax grievance redressal month from April 22nd to May 22nd: Senior officers to meet taxpayers on every Wednesday

MADURAI: The Income Tax Department is observing grievance redressal month from April 22nd to May 22nd 2024 to pay special attention for quick and effectively solving the grievances filed by the taxpayers on CPGRAM and E-Nivaran portals of the department and through other modes.

Tamil Nadu and Puducherry region of the Income Tax Department is making special arrangements for taxpayers and their representatives to meet their jurisdictional assessing officers and senior officers in person if they desire to meet them for resolution of their grievances, according to a press release received today.

In all places where the Income Tax Department has offices, the jurisdictional in-charge and his team will be personally available to meet the taxpayers in the ASK Centre or at a dedicated space in the office where ASK Centre is not available, on every Wednesday starting from 24th April till 22nd May 2024 from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm to resolve the IT grievances. This meeting facility will be available on 24th April, 1st May, 8th May, 15th May and 22nd May, in addition to the existing online grievance redressal mechanism, the press release added.
