MADURAI: AIADMK candidate for Madurai Lok Sabha constituency Dr.P.Saravanan had offered special prayers at ‘Kanchi Maha Periyava’ temple in S.S.Colony in Madurai today morning (April 13th 2024) praying for his victory in the coming election.
He was welcomed with traditional ‘poorna kumbha’ reception by the founder of ‘Anushathin Anugraham’ Mr.Nellai Balu and seven priests who chanted vedic verses and performed puja.
Talking to reporters, Dr.Saravanan has said that late MGR had great devotion towards Kanchi Maha Periyava Jagadguru Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Maha Swamigal (Maha Periyavar) and there were many examples to say for MGR’s affinity for Kanchi Mutt.
“Once there was a severe drought all over Tamil Nadu. At that time, MGR had requested Kanchi Maha Periyavar to pray to the God for rains. Immediately, the State got rains and that was the power. It is a coincidence that today when I am here in this temple in S.S.Colony, it is now raining outside,” the AIADMK candidate Dr.P.Saravanan has said today morning (April 13th 2024).
DMK AND TEMPLES HAS NO CONNECT:
Dr.Saravanan had accused that the HR&CE Department is not functioning effectively in Tamil Nadu and there is no connect between DMK government and Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department maintained temples.
“Mr.Edappadi K.Palanisamy will again become Chief Minister in 2026 Assembly elections. The AIADMK will definitely win in the Lok Sabha election taking place on April 19th because I could see the huge positive response from the people for AIADMK,” Dr.Saravanan added. The special puja for AIADMK candidate was performed by Santhosh Sastrigal and other veda experts who chanted slokas.
