Green Revolution Great C.Subramaniam’s son receives Vivek Burman (DABUR) Peace Prize from TN Governor

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Governor Mr.R.N.Ravi had presented ‘Vivek Burman (DABUR) Peace Prize’ to National Agro Foundation-Chennai at the Consular Day 2024 function held in Chennai on March 29th 2024.

Mr.S.S.Rajsekar, Managing Trustee of National Agro Foundation (NAF), had received the award in Chennai yesterday.

The National Agro Foundation is an organization founded by the architect of India’s Green Revolution and Bharat Ratna Awardee in year 2000 great leader Mr.C.Subramaniam, and NAF has been working on comprehensive rural development with special focus on agriculture, watershed, natural resources management, agribusiness and community empowerment.

The National Agro Foundation has positively impacted over 3.5 lakh farmers across eight States in the country. Now, NAF has been awarded the prestigious VIvek Burman Peace Prize for its outstanding contribution to the society, by Honorary Consul Corps Diplomatique (HCCD) which is an association of Honorary Consul Generals in India.

Mr.M.R.Sivaraman IAS (Retd), former Revenue Secretary of Government of India and Ex-Executive Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF), is the Chairman of NAF while Dr.M.R.Ramasubramaniyan, Executive Director of NAF, spearheadst the NAF operation with over 250 staff members, according to information received from the NAF today.
