MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu BJP Youth Wing State General Secretary Mr.C.M.Mari Chakkaravarthy has told the Madurai K.Pudur police (Madurai Corporation Ward 45) to immediately remove the hoardings banners in Madurai Pudur area in line with the Madras High Court directions.
“Today (November 25th 2017), there are banners/ hoardings etc carrying the pictures of living persons…..The High Court has said that there should not be hoardings or public disturbing banners in public places carrying photos of living persons….Why is not the K.Pudur police inspector Mr.Balasundaram not taking action…….Will he remove the EPS – and MLA Rajan Chellappa banners from public place in K.Pudur or not……..”?, the BJP State Youth Wing leader had asked the Madurai police.
HC DIRECTION VIOLATED IN MADURAI:
Mr.Mari Chakkaravarthy has said these words: My question to the Pudur police in Madurai city…..
“Be impartial because police is for all. A few weeks back, when the BJP held a demonstration at the same Pudur bus stand Ward 45 in Madurai city on NEET medical college admission issue, our BJP youth cadres had been called and warned by the Pudur police for keeping our BJP flags on Pudur road…..Then why have you not removed the Chief Minister EPS hoardings – banners – other public disturbing material, as ordered by the High Court,?” he questioned.
The BJP Youth Wing leader told the police that the party’s youth wing will help the Pudur police in removing the public disturbing hoardings / banners – if it is required.
If they are not removed, the BJP youth will hold a dharna in Madurai condemning the Madurai K.Pudur police authorities for their inaction.
