MADURAI: A mobile banking unit called ‘Bank on Wheels’ from the HDFC Bank is bringing banking to the doorsteps in Madurai city and making it easy for the customers.
This ‘Bank on Wheels’ van is aimed at giving easy access for the people by offering various banking products and services. From March 1st 2024, the mobile unit had started extensively covering various places in Madurai city
For instance, the ‘Bank on Wheels’ made its moves at places in K.Pudur area on March 21st 2024 and one of the stops was D.R.O.Colony where it met the residents of Sri Vijayalakshmi Apartments.
According to the bank staff, the HDFC Bank is making a personal connect with the people through the mobile banking van since it has cash deposit machine, ATM and staff to explain about the products and services offered by HDFC Bank.
“We are covering three places in Madurai city daily, where there is a requirement we will go. The ‘Bank on Wheels’ will be there for one or two hours in that spot. Earlier, this van was covering rural areas in Madurai district, but in the last couple of weeks we are focusing on Madurai city also,” a bank staff has said here today.
