MADURAI: Women Achiever Awards were presented to four women from different fields in recognition of their services at a function held in American College in Madurai on March 6th 2024.
The Post Graduate and Research Department of Economics of American College had organised a function to mark the International Women’s Day where Ela Bhatt Awards for Women Professionals were presented to the awardees.
The recipients are Ms.Pooranam Ammal (largesse works), banker, Canara Bank at Tallakulam in Madurai, Dr.Belinda Bennet (international development), Chief International Programs Officer, Children Believe, Canada, Dr.Yazhini Selvaraj (fertility specialization), MD-Ponni Fertility Research Center, Madurai and Ms.M.Hema Latha (skillful social media), journalist and digital edupreneur, Chennai.
Dr.M.Davamani Christober, Principal and Secretary of The American College, had honoured the awardees and lauded them for their contributions in chosen field.
Dr.C.Muthuraja, Head, PG Department of Economics, had briefed about the awards and the role played by women in society. Ms.J.Gnana Genga had proposed a vote of thanks at this awards presented function held in American College here on March 6th 2024.
