MADURAI: The Madurai Round Table 14 is organizing a fund-raising music event at Lakshmi Sundaram Hall in Tallakulam in Madurai on March 9th 2024-Saturday- 2.30 pm onwards-as a part of its community service initiative to construct classrooms for a panchayat school.
This event is named as ‘Motta Maadi Music tour with Alappara Madurai’ and the fund proceedings from this event will be used to build two classrooms for panchayat union middle school at Karaiyipatti village in Kongampatti panchayat in Melur taluk in Madurai district. Talking to reporters at a press meet here today evening, Madurai Round Table 14 chairman Mr.Rishwanth Jayaraj and MRT 14 secretary Mr.Maniram Kumar have said that the music event is being conducted as a fund-raising show to support a government panchayat school.
“In Round Table, we do lot of service projects and one of the important project is Freedom Through Education. We support to enhance infrastructure in schools. Now, we want to support classroom construction under the government’s Namma Ooru Namma School scheme. The estimated cost is roughly Rs.15 lakhs for two classrooms,” they told reporters at today’s press meet along with Ladies Circle chairperson (MLC 8) Ms.Madhubala.
