MADURAI: A mega job fair is being organized at Lakshmi Sundaram Hall in Tallakulam in Madurai on February 17th 2024 (from 9 am to 2 pm) for the benefit of job-seekers starting from final year college students, freshers to experienced candidates.
The Confederation of Indian Industry’s Young Indians-Madurai Chapter is holding this job fair ‘Velai Vaaipu Vizha’ in which 85 companies from different sectors are taking part to recruit candidates for various jobs.
Talking to reporters at a press meet held in Madurai today, Young Indians chair Mr.Faizal Ahamed and job fair convener Mr.K.Vikranth have said that several companies have come forward with job offers and the job fair in Madurai on 17th February will be a good opportunity for youngsters.
“There will be a wide range of companies in this job fair. Madurai city needs a job fair and this is the right time. Companies from manufacturing, IT, hotels, service, automobile, retail, health, finance, construction, telecommunication and distribution sectors are going to recruit candidates. We are expecting more than 3,000 candidates,” Mr.Faizal Ahamed said.
In this job fair, candidates from 10th pass, 12th pass, diploma, arts and science colleges, freshers, final year students, engineering and postgraduates can attend and it is totally free of charges and there is no registration fee.
Mr.Vikranth said that this is the first job fair being organised by Young Indians (Madurai Chapter) and good salary offer is there from companies depending on the job and company. “Many companies will fill up vacancies from this job fair. We have asked companies to give job offer letters to selected candidates on the same day itself,” he added.
Young Indians co-chairman Mr.Shenherlal and other office-bearers were present at the press meet here today evening.
