MADURAI: Additional General Manager of Southern Railway Mr.Kaushal Kishore had today- on February 13th 2024- inspected the railway station redevelopment works that are in progress at Madurai Junction here.
Along with Divisional Railway Manager Mr.Sharad Srivastava, he inspected the works at New East Terminal, east multilevel two-wheeler parking and substation, and also the alignment of subway connecting Madurai railway junction and Periyar Bus Terminus, a press release received from Madurai Railway Division here today has said.
At Madurai Junction, redevelopment work is in progress at a cost of Rs.348 crores and it includes foundation work for an air concourse, work for multilevel car parking facility at western side of the station etc.
Senior railway officers including Mr.R.Nanda Gopal, Mr.V.Suriyamoorthy and others were present during the inspection today.
