Appeal to confer ‘Bharat Ratna’ on Jayalalithaa

MADURAI: Former MLA and AIADMK leader from Madurai Dr.P.Saravanan has today made a fervent appeal that former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu late ‘Puratchi Thalaivi’ Jayalalithaa should be conferred the country’s highest civilian honour ‘Bharat Ratna’ in recognition of her great contributions to the people through her several decades of public life.

He made this request to the AIADMK manifesto committee on February 9th 2024 and urged the members to include this as one of the main demands in the election manifesto being prepared for the coming Lok Sabha 2024 elections.

Dr.Saravanan, who is joint secretary of AIADMK medical wing, has also made other suggestions for the manifesto asking for setting up a jasmine scent/perfume manufacturing industry in Madurai, expediting the Madurai AIIMS construction works and construct buildings for classrooms for medical courses in Madurai AIIMS, and to abolish NEET exam for medical college admissions.
