MADURAI: The ‘Initiative for Public Policy’, an academic non-political and research study-oriented forum, began its activities from Madurai on November 3rd 2017 (Friday).
Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Mr.La.Ganesan led the discussion with subject experts and field level activists at the first meeting conducted in MADITSSIA Hall in Madurai.
The Initiative for Public Policy (We the People for Tamilnadu) took up three public issues for discussion and interacted with the invitees gathering information and data.

The three issues are: 1. Economic development / empowerment of southern districts in Tamil Nadu, Rejuvenating and protecting our local water bodies and a comprehensive socio-economic study of Hindu temples in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan is the coordinator for the newly started ‘Initiative for Public Policy’ while former journalist Shastry V.Mallady is the joint coordinator.
The experts who contributed to the first discussion meeting include water management experts Dr.S.Rajamohan of Envirocare Pvt.Ltd, Dr.P.S.Navaraj, Principal, Annai Fatima College in Tirumangalam, Mr.Perumal from Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Mr.K.P.Murugan, president of MADITSSIA and his team, Mr.Jegadeesan, president of Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Thirukoshtiyur S.Pandiarajan, founder of Sri Maha Swamini Peetham, a charitable trust working for protection of Hindu temples.
