MADURAI: The time is ripe for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tamil Nadu to give a fitting reply to the two major Dravidian parties DMK and AIADMK and hence meeting the people directly will give us positive results, said BJP Madurai Urban District president Mr.Saseeraman, here on Sunday (October 29th 2017).
“This is a Now or Never situation for our party…or I would rather say Do or Die….If we work to the expectations of our party’s State leadership and according to their plans, we can definitely win,” he said.
Mr.Saseeraman was giving introductory remarks at the Madurai city unit’s Executive Council meeting held at K.Pudur in Madurai on October 29th.
He urged the Madurai urban district office-bearers and party cadres to spend quality time with the people in their local areas / respective wards in Madurai Corporation area.
TAKE UP PUBLIC ISSUES:
“I appeal to all the 13 mandal presidents in Madurai city to focus on winning elections….Meeting the people is a must….Take up public issues with concerned authorities and follow it up……Hold protests and demonstrations on local issues,” Mr.Saseeraman had exhorted the Madurai Maanagar (city) cadres and all the EC members.
He instructed the mandal presidents and other office-bearers to complete the formation of booth committees in the next few days, get the voters’ list in all booths and cover the booth locality by meeting the residents and explain about our Prime Minister Mr.Modi’s welfare schemes.
TODAY IS A TURNING POINT:
“It is time our BJP must get MPs and MLAs and Councillors in Tamil Nadu…..Today’s Executive Committee meeting in Pudur mandal on October 29th 2017 must be a turning point for the Madurai City unit BJP…..Work as a team and we will win,” he exhorted.
Tamil Nadu BJP State General Secretary Shri.Kesava Vinayagam, National Council Member Mr.M.Siva Subramanian and BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, were among those present at the EC meeting.
The Madurai Urban District city office-bearers who were present include general secretaries Mr.K.K.Sreenivasan (Org), Mr.M.G.Bharathi Raja and Mr.D.M.Balakrishnan, district vice-presidents Mr.S.K.Hariharan, Mrs.Gowri and Mrs.Naga Jayanthi, Women’s wing district president Mrs.K. Meenambigai and treasurer Mr.O.B.Gopidoss, Pudur mandal president Mr.R.Jothi Manivannan, and others were among those who were present.
