MADURAI: Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary and party’s Madurai division in-charge Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan has exhorted the office-bearers / cadres of Madurai Rural district BJP to sustain their “role model” status and retain the special distinction it had gained in the party.
“Step up your focus on strengthening booths in all municipalities and town panchayats in your jurisdiction,,,,,and at the same time put more thrust on having elected booths in villages too,” he said.
Prof.Dr.Srinivasan addressed the party office-bearers at the BJP’s Madurai Rural district executive committee meeting held at Othakadai near Madurai on October 28th 2017 (Saturday).
Senior BJP leader Mr.Suba.Nagarajan had chaired the Madurai Rural district meeting and gave suggestions for party strengthening and how to reach out to people.
MUNICIPALITIES AND TOWN PANCHAYATS:
“It is very happy to see that Madurai Rural district is projected as a role model district of the BJP because of your hard work, fieldwork, innovative ideas and people-focused initiatives at ground level. Now, you have to sustain that status,” he told the gathering at EC meeting.
The BJP State Secretary had made it very clear that there should be cent percent elected booths in municipalities / town panchayats for the party.
In villages, there must be at least 50 per cent coverage and you have to have elected booths present in village-level in Madurai Rural, he added.
PERFORMANCE REPORT:
Prof.Dr.Srinivasan has said that all district office-bearers will have to submit two-page performance report in given format for appraisal by the party leadership at higher level.
Maha.Suseendhran, BJP Madurai Rural District President, senior leader Mr.Hari Krishnan ji and district office-bearers including Mr.Sivalingam and Mr.Moovendhan, Mr.M.Gokul (Dist.Youth wing President) were among those who attended the EC meeting at Othakadai on October 28th 2017.
