MADURAI: A job fair is being conducted in Madurai tomorrow- on December 23rd 2023-by all Rotary clubs in Madurai in association with MADITSSIA. More than 30 companies are participating in this ‘ARAM Job Fair’ that will take place at MADITSSIA Hall here from 9 am to 2 pm and already 500 job-seekers have registered.
Speaking to reporters at a press meet today morning, event chairman Rtn.D.Siva Sankar and job fair district chairman Rtn.E.R.K.Vignesh Babu have said that several jobs are on offer and separate stalls were put up for each company.
“In this job fair, the 2023 passed out candidates from any stream can attend. Already 30 Madurai-based companies, hospitals etc have confirmed their participation and we are expecting around 1,500 candidates. Separate stalls will be there for companies to interview the candidates. Online registration was already done and those who passed out in 2023 can also walk-in with their resume. There are different types of jobs available like IT, accounts, digital marketing, content creator, nursing etc. The monthly salary offered by companies is from Rs.10,000 to Rs.40,000. Offer letters will be given to selected candidates by evening after the selection process and interview,” Rtn.Siva Sankar (Rotary all clubs president) and Mr.Vignesh Babu told reporters at today’s press meet.
RM.Lakshminarayanan, MADITSSIA president and Rotary Regional Coordinator Rtn.J.Ashok said that the objective is to bring the job providers and job seekers on to a single platform for the benefit of those who are in search of jobs.
“This job fair is being organized as a community service project. It is the first job fair by Rotary clubs in Madurai-Rotary International District 3000,” Rtn.Ashok added. Among those who were present at the press meet include event co-chairman Rtn.Gopison and Mr.Nellai Balu, Rotary district chairman for public image.
The job fair inaugural function will be attended by Rotary District Governor Rtn.R.Anandtha Jothi, Rotary District Governor Elect Rtn.R.Raja Govindasamy, MADITSSIA president RM.Lakshminarayanan and others.
