MADURAI: A 17-year-old train passenger who had left his bag containing iPhone etc at the booking counter in Sengottai Railway Station had got back all the items intact thanks to the swift action by Railway Protection Force (RPF) on September 30th 2023.
At 10.30 pm on September 30th 2023, the RPF Head Constable at Sengottai railway station Mr.P.Selvaraj who was on duty had received a phone call from Tenkasi railway station GRP informing that one passenger by name S.Mohammed Moideen (age 17 yrs) of Pudukottai has left his shoulder bag containing one iPhone valued Rs.60,000 and two new Apple Ultra series valued about Rs.5,000 and clothes, at the booking counter in Sengottai railway station.
The passenger had boarded train number 16361 from Sengottai railway station at 8.05 pm on September 30th 2023. Immediately after receiving the information, the duty RPF staff at Sengottai railway station had rushed to the booking counter, and after checking thoroughly the RPF staff secured the bag intact with all items intact.
At 11 pm on September 30th 2023, the passenger Mohammed Moideen came to RPF post at Sengottai where the RPF staff had handed over the bag to him after clearly verifying the particulars and proper acknowledgement, Mr.P.Sivakumar, Inspector-RPF, Sengottai, has said.
