MADURAI: A sensitisation and postal department savings awareness programme was conducted at Lady Doak College in Madurai on September 14th 2023 to tell the students how they can save through various post office savings schemes, through a lecture organized by Oikonomia Club of Research Centre and Department of Economics of LDC.
Ms.S.Meenakshi, senior postmaster at Tallakulam Head office in Madurai, had delivered an awareness talk for UG and PG students of economics of Lady Doak College in Madurai, where she explained about the postal department services and savings schemes available through the Department of Posts.
A press release received from Lady Doak College in Madurai today has said that the senior postmaster S.Meenakshi shared information about popular postal savings schemes and about ‘Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Scheme’ which is a one time program running from April 2023 for women.
Among those present was Dr.Christianna Singh, Principal and Secretary, of Lady Doak Colege and Head of the Department of Economics, along with faculty members and about 100 students, the LDC press release added.
