Great Alexander’s inspiration was his teacher: MKU Dean at Teacher’s Day in Fatima College

MADURAI: The Dean in-charge of CDC of Madurai Kamaraj University here Dr.P.Kannadasan has stressed that teachers always play a significant role in everyone’s life and in country’s development as they play a crucial dual role of being a teacher and a persevering learner so that they continue to provide updated education to the students.

“One example of how important a teacher is the powerful Great King Alexander. He acknowledged the role of his teacher as the only inspiring force in his victorious journey,” said Dr.Kannadasan (MKU Dean i/c-College Development Council) while speaking as chief guest at Teacher’s Day celebration in Fatima College in Madurai on September 5th 2023. He urged the students to sharpen their skills in tune with the changing dynamic world.

TEACHERS HONOURED:

According to a press release received from the Fatima College, three faculty members were honoured with best performance award- Dr.G.Priya of The Research Centre of English, Dr.Ancemma Joseph of The Research Center of Physics and Mrs.S.Selvarani from Department of Computer Applications.

The Teacher’s Day celebration started with offering of tributes to Mother Rose Benedicta, the founder of Fatima College. Also, the college management and staff honoured college Principal Dr.Sr.G.Celine Sahaya Mary and Associate Professor in Department of Business Administration Dr.S.L.Kumari and Office Assistant Mrs.M.Ahila for their long years of service (silver jubilee).
