MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu State Government’s Higher Education Department has enhanced the consolidated remuneration for Full time temporary faculty who are working on contract basis in Government Polytechnic colleges and government engineering colleges, and for guest guest lecturers in TN Government Arts and Science Colleges and in government college of education, as per a G.O. issued dated September 2nd 2023.
Orders have been issued revising the payment of Guest Lecturers working under the control of Directorate of Collegiate Education from Rs.15,000 per month to Rs.20,000 per month. The revision of salary pay has been announced for engineering and polytechnic colleges also, as Rs.25,000 and Rs.20,000 per month respectively, according to a copy of the G.O. received by our media website here today.
“The consolidated remuneration is enhanced from Rs.15,000 to Rs.25,000 per month for the full-time temporary faculty in contract basis of all Government engineering colleges, from Rs.15,000 to Rs.20,000 per month for the full time temporary faculty on contract basis of all Government polytechnic colleges and from Rs.20,000 to Rs.25,000 per month for the guest lecturers in both shifts in all Government arts and science colleges/ and colleges of education, with effect from June 2023 for 11 months in a year excluding the month of May.
Dr.V.Thanagaraj, State president of Tamil Nadu All Government College UGC Qualified Guest Lecturers Association, had today – on September 4th 2023- thanked the Tamil Nadu State Government and Chief Minister M.K.Stalin for the gesture shown towards guest lecturers in the interest of higher education and quality education faculty and also thanked the Higher Education Department and Collegiate education authorities in Government of Tamil Nadu.
