MADURAI: The Madurai Corporation had yesterday inspected Sri Vijayalakshmi Apartments at D.R.O.Colony Main Road in Madurai – on July 31st 2023 – based on a complaint received about alleged building plan violations by the builder.
On 31st July 2023 evening, a two-member team from the Madurai Corporation had inspected the apartment premises here fully by taking in to account a complaint lodged recently by an apartment owner, sources said.
The complaint to the Madurai Corporation against the flat promoter was that there are some serious violations done by the builder by not following the corporation plan that was originally approved before starting the construction work and complaints received during and after construction of these flats.
“There are some violations in this apartment. Children’s Park, vehicle parking etc, common space, walking track, undivided share were getting violated, some promises not followed by the builder at the time of flat booking and showed in the apartment brochure design. So, one of the owners had complained to the Madurai Corporation to inspect the apartment building premises. Even though this apartment complex was built 13 years back, the issue of corporation violation has been taken up from the beginning in year 2011 itself by just a few owners, and now this matter is again becoming a point for corporation attention,” apartment sources said.
The alleged violations in Sri Vijayalakshmi Apartments have been take to the notice of apartments association by a few owners already many years back and they are waiting for the next course of action based on association decision keeping the latest complaint to corporation in mind, according to apartment sources. Complaint to the Madurai Corporation was lodged on corporation website three weeks back by a owner in the month of July 2023, complaint number was received and contact numbers of corporation officials were also given to the complainant through a message.
