MADURAI: At a time when there are protests in Tamil Nadu on the issue of NEET, a student from Madurai belonging to minority community had emerged successful in this national level entrance test and got seat in Thanjavur Medical College.

German Jeffry, the student from Surya Nagar in Madurai city, prepared for the NEET with lot of confidence and got admission in medical college thereby sending out a message that students from ordinary families can achieve their goals through systematic preparation.

His father is Mr.Gilbert who is EC member of the BJP’s Madurai District Minorities Wing.

The successful student Jeffry was felicitated by BJP Tamil Nadu State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan on September 3rd 2017.

Mr.Calvary Thiagarajan, BJP Madurai district minority morcha president, was very happy over the success of this student belonging to a middle class minority family who cleared the NEET and got into medical college at Thanjavur.

“This boy is an example….. but unfortunately NEET is being unnecessarily politicised by parties. What happened to Anitha and her suicide is very sad. My appeal to students is to think positively and do not get confused or distracted due to the politics on NEET. Our Madurai student Jeffry is an example and our congratulations to Gilbert family….”, Mr.Calvary Thiagarajan has said on September 5th 2017.
