22 TEAMS FOR 2019 POLLS : MADURAI BJP BEGINS WORK

MADURAI: The BJP has commenced election preparedness work for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in Madurai Parliamentary Constituency by forming 22 specially-focused teams which will do specific tasks assigned to them.
 
On August 31st 2017 (Thursday evening), the first meeting of party’s office-bearers from various wings and cells in Madurai district was convened to prepare and orient the teams towards the Lok Sabha elections.
 
Mr.S.Surendran, BJP Tamil Nadu State Vice-President, Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan, State Secretary and Mr.Saseeraman, Madurai Urban district president, were among those who drafted the poll strategy for the party in this Lok Sabha constituency based on local inputs and local needs.
 
The teams have been formed depending on the party office-bearers’ interest of area and they have been asked to start the fieldwork straightaway.
 
 
IDENTIFIED AREAS OF WORK:
 
The following are the 22 departments (field of work given) announced by Prof.Dr.Srinivasan after an extensive discussion.
 
1. Madurai Parliament Constituency office secretariat daily management to facilitate election work.
2. Leaders’ visits to Madurai area and coordination.
3. Library and Documentation work. 4. Media. 5. Social Media.
6. Sangh parivar organisations such as RSS, Hindu Munnani, VHP, BMS and ABVP etc.
7. Bringing in former party cadres who are now silent for active work immediately. And, those who are presently in the party but not engaged in party work will be involved for election connected fieldwork.
8. Unorganised workers sector.
9. Agitations, demonstrations / holding public protests and propaganda campaign.
10. Police, legal matters.
11.Public welfare issues and highlighting Modi’s welfare schemes.
12. Government departments such as collectorate, RDO, EB, Roads etc.
13. Women’s organisations/women’s associations & Self-Help Groups.
14. Spiritual organisations, bhajan mandals etc.
15. Trade, commerce and industry associations.
16. Caste organisations.
17. Minorities- meetings with them.
18.Alliance parties/coalition partners or those who silently support BJP.
19. Youth and students in colleges.
20. Teachers’ associations. To involve them for getting informal support.
21. BJP candidates contesting elections such as in local bodies should focus on their respective wards and areas.
22.Finance and Fund-Raising/ party budget preparation and associated works in the constituency.
 
 
START WORK IMMEDIATELY:
 
“These 22 teams will have to work in Assembly constituencies and segment wise and comprehensively overall attention on Madurai Parliament Constituency (LS). With these dedicated teams, let us start work and aim to win….We can achieve that goal,” said Dr.Srinivasan and Mr.Saseeraman.
 
Mrs.A.R.Mahalakshmi, State Women’s Wing president, BJP Madurai district office-bearers and mandal presidents.were among those who attended the first meeting on August 31st in Bibikulam office of the party.
