MADURAI: The Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here will get a new Registrar in the next couple of hours, and in all likelihood the new Registrar will take charge on Sunday- May 21st 2023.
Sources told ‘Lotus Times’ today at 6.45 pm that the new Registrar designate has told the Vice-Chancellor Prof.Dr.J.Kumar that he will assume charge tomorrow. The VC had called a senior professor in a science department today evening and asked him to be the university Registrar in-charge in the place of Dr.K.Sadasivam who wanted to relinquish his post due to personal reasons.
“Our university will have a new Registrar in the next few hours. The new Registrar designate had met the Vice-Chancellor on Saturday evening and informed him that he will take charge as quickly as possible and it is likely to be on Sunday morning,” sources told ‘Lotus Times’ media today. The name that is doing rounds as per seniority list of professors for the last 15 days was not taken into account for the Registrar post, sources added.
