CHENNAI RALLY WILL BRING CHANGE IN TN POLITICS: BJP YOUTH WING LEADER

CHENNAI: The massive rally organised by Youth Wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chennai on August 7th 2017 will herald a change in Tamil Nadu politics because the party raised voice for public issues and emphasised on Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s development model.
 
These were the confident words of the BJP Youth Wing all-India Vice-President Mr.A.P.Muruganandam after the end of day-long party programmes in Chennai which he said made people look towards the BJP and avoid the two major Dravidian parties.
 
Talking to the ‘Lotus Times’ English news website www.lotustimes.org on Monday, he said said that the rally held from Chepauk in Chennai will certainly bring a positive change since “the mindset of youth in Tamil Nadu has changed and the domination of Dravidian parties is coming to an end.”
 
He  asserted that he BJP has a clear agenda for all sections and the party will work for people’s welfare as is being done by Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra governments where the BJP is in power.

After the protest-rally meeting, a delegation of BJP youth wing leaders met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.Edappadi K.Palaniswami on August 7th 2017 to brief him about the three urgent needs of the people.
 
“Several families in Tamil Nadu are on streets because of TASMAC shops….our party wants complete prohibition in this State and we told the CM to open more de-addiction centres to counsel the affected persons…Also, we asked the Chief Minister to launch a Toll-Free number to provide free counselling for those affected due to alcohol addiction,” Mr.Muruganandam said.
 
 
LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS:
 
The BJP delegation also urged the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to conduct elections to local bodies in the State without any further delay. 
 
“The rally in Chennai today went off very well…thousands of BJP youth wing cadres and general public attended….it was a huge programme and I can say that people are now finding the right party and it is our party,” the BJP Youth Wing national leader has said.
 
He told this news website www.lotustimes.org that the 106 welfare programmes of Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s government will be taken to the people through awareness meetings at various places.
 
“The TN Chief Minister had responded positively to our BJP Youth Wing demands… and we are also thankful to the Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan for giving us the right inputs for our massive rally in Chennai….we are asking for agriculture loan waiver to the farmers in Tamil Nadu also as was done in UP and Maharashtra…,” Mr.Muruganandam added.
 
Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan, Tamil Nadu BJP State President, led the delegation to the Chief Minister’s office, accompanied by Mr.Muruganandam.
 
Mr.Vinoj P.Selvam, BJP Youth Wing State president, Mr.C.M.Mari Chakkaravarthy and Mr.Vasantha Rajan (both are State youth wing general secretaries) and party’s State general secretary Mr.K.S.Narendran were among those who were part of the BJP team which met the Chief Minister in Chennai on August 7th 2017 (Monday).
