MADURAI: The high level committee constituted by the Tamil Nadu State Government to do an enquiry into the allegations said to have been committed in awarding promotion under Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) has started its full-fledged probe in Madurai today- on May 9th 2023. Members of the committee are now in the university campus asking for all files and they will be conducting their probe tomorrow also.
The enquiry committee is taking all particulars, required files and the processes followed by the university authorities for giving promotions to MKU staff under the CAS-2017, sources told ‘Lotus Times’ media in Madurai on May 9th 2023. The high level committee was constituted by Tamil Nadu State government to do an enquiry into the allegations said to have been committed for CAS promotions to staff.
MKU sources said today that the enquiry team has commenced its probe into CAS promotions in MKU today morning- May 9th 2023, and the team is investigating into CAS promotions in Periyar University-Salem, and in Annamalai University-Chidambaram also. The High Level Committee members are the Regional Joint Directors of Collegiate Education of Coimbatore Region, Trichy Region, office of Dharmapuri Region and office of RJD of Thanjavur Region.
The Tamil Nadu Government-Higher Education Department had directed the High Level Committee to submit its report to the government within a period of 8 weeks from the date of issue of Government Order on 11th April 2023 given by Tamil Nadu Principal Secretary for Higher Education Mr.D.Karthikeyan.
