MADURAI: The large gathering of office-bearers of the Madurai city unit BJP at the Executive Committee meeting held on August 6th 2017have shown a resolve to win all the 100 wards in Madurai Corporation whenever local body elections are conducted.
Civic issues, law and order problems, matters being raised with the district administration in Madurai district on public woes and topics from Underground Drainage to international flight service in Madurai airport have been discussed at the EC meeting and resolutions were passed.
Mandal presidents of the BJP in Madurai city listed out the party’s public-oriented activities undertaken at ward level and gave suggestions to district leaders for further action and their support.
GOOD PUBLIC SUPPORT:
With the DMK and AIADMK struggling now for public support due to political confusion and vacuum, the BJP has been getting good public response from the people and it was visible at the recently conducted 15-day Vistarak programme for BJP cadres to expand the party base.
In this backdrop, the BJP leaders including State secretary Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan and Madurai Urban district president Mr.Saseeraman gave a call to all ward-level cadres to aim for winning the 100 wards of Madurai Corporation because Modi’s government has provided pro-people, pro-poor schemes and at the same time committed to replace Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu.
Mr.M.R.Gandhi, BJP Tamil Nadu State Vice-President, Mr.K.K.Sreenivasan, general secretary (org) and senior district leader Mr.K.K.Nagar Kannan, were among those who spoke.
