MADURAI: The Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi was given a very warm sendoff at the Madurai airport on July 27th 2017 by the BJP leaders.
Mr.Modi went to Rameswaram to inaugurate the national memorial of former President of India Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam on his second death anniversary. In the morning, he arrived in Madurai and left for Rameswaram by helicopter.
After the event in Rameswaram, the Prime Minister came back to Madurai and from here he left for New Delhi in special aircraft.
Tamil Nadu BJP State vice-president Mr.S.Surendran, party’s Women’s Wing State president Mrs.A.R.Mahalakshmi and BJP Madurai Urban District president Mr.Saseeraman saw him at the Madurai airport at around 3 p.m.
“Mr.Modi looked very happy and cheerful….he said it is very hot here…”, said Mr.Saseeraman.
In Rameswaram, the Prime Minister had flagged off weekly the train introduced from Rameswaram to Ayodhya connecting the southern State with Ram Janmabhoomi, the birth place of Lord Ram.
He also distributed assistance to fishermen to facilitate deep sea fishing. Earlier, Mr.Modi went around the Kalam memorial and met family members of the former President.
