MADURAI: Renowned academician and former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University-Chennai Prof.Dr.E.Balagurusamy has been appointed as honorary academic advisor to the Governor of Jharkhand. A notification to this effect was issued from the Jharkhand Governor’s secretariat in Ranchi on 31st March 2023.
“The Governor-cum Chancellor of universities of Jharkhand has been pleased to appoint Prof.Dr.E.Balagurusamy (who is based in Coimbatore) as academic advisor (honorary) to the Governor of Jharkhand ar Raj Bhavan in Ranchi. He will provide advice regarding improvement in higher education as an expert, to suggest ways and means for improvement of universities’ functioning, their curriculum and courses. Dr.Balagurusamy will also provide advice to the Governor about specific issues concerning higher education as and when required. He will visit the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi on quarterly basis for minimum two weeks each and render his expertise as academic advisor (honorary) to the Jharkhand Governor,” the notification issued from Jharkhand Governor’s secretariat has informed.
