MADURAI: The Madurai railway junction today got kiosks for mobile charging and mineral water RO (Reverse Osmosis) plant facilities under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
A press release received here from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway on March 27th 2023 has informed that the Madurai railway junction got three RO plants for drinking water and 12 mobile charging kiosks under CSR scheme, sponsored by Credit Access India Foundation from its CSR funds for passenger amenities.
Mrs.R.P.Rathi Priya, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Madurai Division of Southern Railway, had inaugurated the passenger amenities in the railway station in Madurai on 27th March 2023. Three RO plant having capacity of 80 litres of water installed at Platform Number 1 ( two numbers) and Platform Number 2 and 3 (One number) were provided. Three year annual maintenance contract was also arranged by the sponsor for these RO plants. The mobile charging kiosk facility is provided on platforms for passengers.
