MKU campus vibrates with ‘Maperum Tamil Kanavu’ as Peter Alphonse sensitizes students on great role of Tamils

MADURAI: The Chairman of State Minorities Commission-Tamil Nadu Mr.S.Peter Alphonse had today exhorted the youth and students to always bear in mind the great and significant contributions made by several leaders from Tamil Nadu, the greatness of Tamils and Tamil culture, and their role for establishing and emphasizing the greatness of Tamils’ role played in various spheres at national level since ancient times and for the past several centuries and decades, during the freedom struggle.

A special programme was organized in MKU campus here on March 9th 2023 as a part of the Tamil Nadu State government’s special awareness drive to sensitize college level students and university students through a special program initiative called ‘Maperum Tamil Kanavu’ that takes the message of the greatness of Tamil culture and its significant influence among the younger generation and students at various levels, and to take this point to the national level.

Madurai District Collector Dr.S.Aneesh Sekhar and MKU Vice-Chancellor Prof.J.Kumar were among those who attended this important special programme for which renowned writers and poets including Nandhalala were invited to address the students and create awareness about ‘Maperum Tamil Kanavu’.
