MADURAI: International Women’s Day was celebrated at Madurai Kamaraj University College (MKU College) in Madurai on March 8th 2023. Mayor of Madurai Corporation Ms.Inirani Pon Vasanth was the chief guest for today’s women’s day celebration event.
College Principal Dr.M.Bhuvaneswaran had presided over the function while college Vice-Principal Prof.Kabilan welcomed the gathering. The importance of women’s rights and how several great women had sacrificed their lives for the welfare of women were highlighted by the chief guest in her address to the large gathering of girl students.
Among the special guests who took part in the Women’s Day celebration at MKU College on Alagarkoil Road in Madurai today include Ms.Divya Bharathi, film director and film writer lyricist Ekadasi and others. Prizes were given to those students who won in various competitions conducted in connection with the International Women’s Day celebration 2023. MKU College faculty member Rani proposed a vote of thanks.
