MADURAI: The counting of offerings in the ‘hundis’ of Meenakshi Temple in Madurai was done here on February 21st 2023.
In the presence of temple Executive Officer Mr.A.Arunachalam, the ‘hundis’ of Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple and its 10 sub-temples were opened and the offerings made by devotees in temple hundis were counted today.
A press release received from Meenakshi Temple Executive Officer here today has informed that the cash in hundis was Rs.1,02,57,343 and gold was 550 grams, silver was 1.3 kilos and there were 355 foreign currency notes in hundis.
