MADURAI: President Droupadi Murmu had visited the famous Meenakshi Temple in Madurai today afternoon- on 18th February 2023 and spent about 45 minutes inside the temple premises.
On her arrival at the temple, she was accorded a traditional welcome by the authorities, temple administration and priests. Tamil Nadu Governor Mr.R.N.Ravi, IT Minister Mr.Mano Thangaraj, senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary of HR&CE Department Dr.B.Chandramohan and ‘Thakkar’ of Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple Mr.Karumuttu T.Kannan were among those who received the President and went along with her during the temple visit.
Earlier, Madurai District Collector Dr.S.Aneesh Sekhar was among those who had received the President on her arrival at Madurai airport today.
