MADURAI: The manner and procedure in which some candidates are submitting their Ph.D. research thesis and clearing the oral exam viva voce for getting Ph.D degree has raised some doubts and questions, because reliable sources in higher education have told ‘LotusTimes’ that there are GHOST WRITERS in Madurai region and in various parts of Tamil Nadu who are writing the Ph.D thesis for some “so called research scholars” and the rate is Rs. 6 lakhs per candidate, that they have heard from various channels from the candidate to college to university level.
This NEXUS between the research candidate, Ph.D guide and some staff in universities is helping the research scholars get their Ph.D, sources have said today.
“These GHOST WRITERS and nexus/ links for getting Ph.D is of serious nature in 5 subjects – Management Studies, English, Commerce and a few subjects in humanities….social sciences…. There should be a strict vigil on those who are preparing for Ph.D because the ghost writers/ borkers etc are taking Rs.5 lakhs to Rs.8 lakhs from the candidate and they will be a link till the university level and getting of Ph.D. So, it is time for our authorities in higher education at the State and Central level, the UGC and to the university officials to catch the ghost writers red-handed and also take action on those staff at university level who are ‘fixing’ and arranging the VIVA after taking bribe from the candidate,” sources told ‘LotusTimes’ website on December 18th 2022 Sunday,
