HC order on American College Principal’s wealth: DVAC must complete enquiry within 3 months

MADURAI: The Madurai Bench of Madras High Court has today directed the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) to hold an inquiry and come to the logical end on the allegations and complaints about illegal amassing of wealth disproportionate to income sources by the present Principal and Secretary of American College Dr.Davamani Christober.

“The court has directed the vigilance officials of Tamil Nadu Government to do full enquiry and the complaints of amassing of wealth, illegal gratification of wealth disproportionate to the known sources of income….come to logical end in this case within three months,” college and legal sources in Madurai told ‘LotusTimes’ www.lotustimes.org, here today on 1st December 2022.

The Court order is based on Writ Petition WP (MD) 24064 / 2022, Justice Ilangovan and in the Court hall number 14. Complaints have been filed against the current Principal and Secretary of American College Dr.Davamani Christober by a few faculty members by raising their voice demanding a full inquiry by the Directorate of Collegiate Education of Government of Tamil Nadu and by all legal procedures in the High Court.
