MADURAI: The substantive analysis provided by well known education consultant and career analyst Mr.Jayaprakash Gandhi on 13th November 2022 is giving some shocking findings as far as engineering courses’ preference is concerned, which is based on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2022 (TNEA 2022) counselling for which four rounds of counselling is over.
“More than 85 colleges have only single digit admissions in B.E.first year mechanical engineering, and more than 40 colleges have only single digit admissions in civil engineering. Mechanical and Civil were the least preferred courses by students for engineering course choices in Tamil Nadu,” Mr.Jayaprakash Gandhi has said in his fourth round analysis of TNEA 2022, given to the media on November 13th 2022.
At the end of all four rounds of academic counselling, the number of engineering seats vacant in Tamil Nadu is 55,846. The analysis done by Mr.Jayaprakash Gandhi has shown that B.E. COMPUTER SCIENCE was the most preferred by students and followed by IT related courses.
