MADURAI: Badminton champion Ms.Jerlin Anika from Madurai who won medals at Deaf Olympics has been nominated for the prestigious Arjuna Award for the year 2022-23. She is a student year B.A.(Economics) student of Lady Doak College here.
Dr.Christianna Singh, Principal and Secretary of Lady Doak College and Dr.Beulah Jeyshree, vice-principal, along with Capt.Dr.T.Shanthameena and Dr.M.Hemalatha (SF), Directors of Physical Education, coach Mr.Saravanan had congratulated student Ms.Jerlin Anika for getting nominated for Arjuna award, a press release received from the college here today- on 10th November 2022- has said.
The college press release also said that Ms.Jerlin Anika is a first woman Deaflympian and badminton player from Tamil Nadu who got nominated for the prestigious Arjuna Award 2022-23.
