MADURAI: The Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Prof.J.Kumar has today exhorted the youth in general and students in particular to follow the footsteps of great pioneers like the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu late Kamaraj and help in annihilating corruption.
He insisted that a positive transformation among students is possible through upgraded curriculum and new teaching-learning methodologies. Prof.J.Kumar conveyed this message while delivering the graduation day address at the 55th Graduation Day of Lady Doak College in Madurai on 17th September 2022-Saturday. He distributed diplomas and prizes to passing out students/graduates.
Dr.Christianna Singh, Principal and Secretary of Lady Doak College, gave a multimedia version of Principal’s report for academic year 2021-22. Dr.Beulah Jeyashree, Vice-Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering. Totally 1,139 students were awarded degrees, endowment prizes were given to candidates who showed their mettle in curricular and co-curricular pursuits.
Ms.Jerusha Ann Thomas, former president of Student Cabinet (2019-2020), had fondly recollected memories of life in LDC campus and the holistic education imparted by college. The graduation day ceremony began with a prayer led by college Chaplain Dr.Jessie Ranjitha, according to a press release received from the college here today.
