MADURAI: The PG Zoology Association of American College in Madurai was inaugurated on August 29th 2022 and office-bearers were installed- Mr.M.Rajesh as president, Mr.U.Ameer Khan as secretary and Ms.Jasmine as joint secretary.
Dr.S.Jenefa, chairperson, Department of Linguistics and Communication, Madurai Kamaraj University, who was the chief guest, had highlighted on how there should be effective science communication. It was explained that information on science communication must be simple and crisp. While writing science communication, five tips must be borne in mind- good subject knowledge, understand the audience, alter a message according to the needs, narrate in an interesting manner by giving examples and it should not be lengthy. Dr.A.Joseph Thatheyus installed the office-bearers.
Ms.Joanna Mary, second year M.Sc student, welcomed the gathering while Ms.Jasmine, PG Zoology Association joint secretary, had proposed a vote of thanks. A press release received from Mr.M.Rajesh, assistant professor, PG&Research Department of Zoology, The American College and president of Tamil Nadu Science Forum, here had informed about the PG Zoology association role.
