Lady Doak College students come out with flying colours for India @75 from Madurai

MADURAI: The Lady Doak College in Madurai has arranged for special events for the Independence Day 2022 celebrations. India is completing 75 years since its independence on 15th August 1947 and the nation is now celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. As a part of that celebrations, a special program was held by the Lady Doak College on 11th August 2022 involving all the Shift I students of the morning and Shift II in the evening.

To celebrate India’s 75 years of independence, the Lady Doak College is conducting a series of events and inspiring programs from August 11th to 17th, a press release from the college has informed here today.

Dr.Christianna Singh, Principal and Secretary of Lady Doak College, had hoisted the flag on the first day of the celebrations today. A beautiful formation of Indian flag was done by 1,700 students and faculty of Shift I at 8.30 am and with 2,000 students, faculty and non-teaching staff of Shift II at 5.30 pm on August 11th 2022. This spectacular event was organized by Deans of Student Affairs Dr. J.Chitra, Dr.T.Mowna Sundari, Dr.Jemima Jeyapriya and Ms.C.Esther Elizabeth Grace.

The Lady Doak College campus in Madurai had radiated with enthusiasm and bubbled with patriotic fervour on the first day event of 75th year Independence Day celebrations on August 11th 2022.
