MADURAI: Mr.N.Jegatheesan, president, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was awarded the Ph.D. (doctorate) in Commerce, by the Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) at the annual convocation of the varsity held in Madurai on 13th July 2022, in the presence of Tamil Nadu Governor and university Chancellor Mr.R.N.Ravi.
The 54th annual convocation of MKU took place in Madurai today afternoon and it was presided over by the Tamil Nadu Governor who had conferred the degrees. Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Fisheries, nimal Husbandry and Dairying Mr.L.Murugan was the guest of honour.
Prof.J.Kumar, MKU Vice-Chancellor, Prof.M.Sivakumar, Registrar in-charge-MKU, Senate and Syndicate members of the university, were among those present. Prof.P.Balaram, former Director, Indian Institute of Science-Bangalore, was invited as chief guest and to deliver the convocation address.
