MADURAI: A national skill development workshop on Intellectual Property Rights, Start-Up and Innovations (IPRSI-2022) was organised in the Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) in Madurai on 1st July 2022- RUSA-II. Around 175 participants from various disciplines took part in this workshop that had no registration fee.
Prof.J.Kumar, MKU Vice-Chancellor, had inaugurated the IPRSI-2022 workshop and he spoke on the significance of IPR and start-ups in meeting the today’s challenges, a press release received from the university today has said. There were technical sessions on basics of Intellectual Property Rights, patent filing procedures, startups and incubation, effective patent search and hands on training. The importance of entrepreneurship culture was stressed in this workshop along with startup stimulus ideas etc.
Fundamental concepts on copyrights, patents, reacting startups, technology transfer of innovation products and entrepreneurship were explained, according to Dr.G.Gnana Kumar, Convenor of IPRSI-2022, who took steps for holding this workshop in Madurai Kamaraj University here on July 1st 2022. The university is taking steps to create larger awareness on Intellectual Property Rights etc by inviting experts and taking the expertise of various persons including Prof.A.Kantha Babu, Director, Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR), Anna University-Chennai.
Dr.K.Chandrasekaran, coordinator, Skill Development Program, MKU and others spoke in the inaugural session and other sessions held in this workshop in MKU here today- on 1st July 2022.
