MADURAI: The famous ‘Unjal festival’ in Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai will take place from July 3rd to July 11th 2022. This is an important festival of Meenakshi Temple that takes place during the ‘Aani’ month. Temple administration has made elaborate arrangements for the ‘Unjal’ festival during which Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar will be taken on a swing, and arrangements at at the 100-pillar mandapam in the temple and darshan for the devotees. Special pujas will be performed from 5th July evening till 6th July morning, an information bulletin received from the temple here had informed on 29th June 2022.
