MADURAI: The Lady Doak College in Madurai has celebrated College Day and student cabinet valedictory here on 27th May 2022. Mr.Vijay Anand, founder and CEO of The Startup Centre-Chennai, had motivated students to be path-breakers by making right decisions for their future because he said, by quoting his mother as an example, that a woman’s decisions can change the future of an entire family and coming generations. He distributed prizes to the winners.
Dr.Christianna Singh, Principal and Secretary of the college, presented annual report for 2021-22. Dr.Beulah Jeyashree, college vice-principal, welcomed the gathering. Dr.Suganda Ramamoorthy, associate professor, Department of Economics, LDC, received the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. Faculty members who gave 10 years of service, research grants and publications in reputed journals, were honoured.
Student cabinet leader of 2020-21 had passed on the responsibilities to newly elected members, there were cultural events projecting unity in diversity, a press release received from the college here today has informed. Student cabinet president Ms.G.Arpudha had proposed a vote of thanks. Retiring faculty members were felicitated for their great service to the college, students and higher education field.
