Andipatti-Theni new railway line inspection to be done by CRS on March 31st

MADURAI: Mr.Manoj Arora, Commissioner of Railway Safety-Central Circle, Mumbai, will inspect the Andipatti-Theni stretch new line on March 31st 2022. The statutory inspection by CRS will start at 9.30 am on that day from Andipatti by motor trolley and it will end at Theni around 1 pm, according to a press release received from the Madurai Division of Southern Railway here today.

Works on the 58kms stretch of Madurai-Andipatti in the Madurai-Bodinaickanur Broad Gauge Project has already been completed and its statutory inspection was done by CRS-South Zone Mr.Abhai Kumar Rai.

Now, the 17kms stretch of Andupatti-Theni section new converted line is also ready with sufficient engine trial runs and the statutory inspection will be done on March 31st 2022 by CRS-Central Circle-Mumbai Mr.Manoj Arora. He will be accompanied by Railway construction wing chief administrative officer Prafulla Varma and Divisional Railway Manager Mr.Padmnabhan Ananth during this inspection, the press release said.

After the motor trolley inspection, speed trial will be conducted in this sector between 2pm and 6 pm and the public in the vicinity are cautioned not to approach or cross the new railway track during speed trial.
