MADURAI: The prestigious American College in Madurai is soon setting up up a museum in its campus to display rare collections that are in its possession and will be of great interest to people and huge antique value.
“It is an exclusive museum which is likely to be ready in a few days. Maybe it will be opened in March and certainly it will kindle lot of interest among the public, students, researchers and institutions. Our college has a treasure of collection of rare items. There will be around 200 rare collections in this museum including some apparatus and very old computers. The museum will kindle interest,” Dr.M.Davamani Christober, Principal, The American College, told ‘Lotus Times’ news website and ‘CoverPoint’ magazine here on 22nd February 2022.
Old computers, palm leaf manuscripts, 17th century Bible and 18th century coins etc will be among the rare items that will be displayed in the American College’s museum in Madurai.
