‘Cottonfab-2021’ exhibition in Madurai till 30th Dec; brings wide collection of saris etc

MADURAI: ‘Cottonfab-2021’, an exhibition of traditional, gorgeous and fabulous handlooms from various parts of the country especially with a collection of sarees, is being organized at Gandhi Museum Ground in Madurai from 17th December to 30th December 2021. This expo is being held here under the auspices of Lucknow-based Awadh Hathkargha, Hastshilp Evam Gramodyog Samiti.

This ‘Cottonfab-2021’ will be a grand exhibition of silks and cottons for which 100 weavers and designers from 15 States have come together for the fair being held in Madurai. There will be cotton and georgette fabrics from Lucknow, Kota-Doria dress materials from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh’s Chanderi and Maheswari, block print kurtis from Gujarat and Rajasthan, Kalamkari vegetable-dyed saris, Gadwal, Pochampalli and zari border sarees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka will be available in the exhbition, according to a press release received from the organizers on 15th December 2021.

Saris from Rs.300 upto Rs.3,000 and dress materials such as kurtis, salwar kameez etc will be there in this Madurai exhbition. Also available will be mats, rugs, bangles, bracelets etc are available. The ‘Cottonfab-2021’ is coming to Madurai during this New Year- festival season. The expo will be on at Gandhi Museum ground in Madurai from 17th to 30th December 2021 with timings 11 am to 9 pm.
