TN Chamber thanks CM Stalin for lockdown relaxations from 14th June

MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has today thanked the Tamil Nadu government and Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin for the various COVID-19 lockdown relaxations announced yesterday. It has also made a request to grant permission for opening of footwear shops up to 1,000 sq ft and readymade / boutique garments up to 2,000 sq ft area.

In a press statement issued here on 12th June 2021, TN Chamber president Mr.N.Jegatheesan has said that when Mr.M.K.Stalin too charge as Chief Minister, the second wave of corona was at its peak in Tamil Nadu.

“Our TN Chamber welcomes the various relaxations announced in the Corona Disaster curfew regulations to be implemented from 14.06.2021. In
particular, it is welcome that factory workers are now allowed to travel in
two-wheelers to resume their work by using their factory’s IDs instead of
four wheeler with an e-registration. We kindly request the Hon’ble Chief
Minister to grant permission to open footwear shops within an area of 1000
sqft and Readymade / Boutique Garments shops within an area of 2000sqft,
with time restrictions and regulations already permitted for various other
businesses, as they are running their units in micro level and affected very
much during this lockdown,” chamber president Mr.N.Jegatheesan has said in the press statement.
