MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry had organized a free COVID vaccination camp here in Madurai on April 15th 2021- Thursday. Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan had inaugurated this important vaccination camp in the presence of corporation officials and TN Chamber of Commerce office-bearers. (It will be done on 16th April and 17th April also at the TN Chamber of Commerce premises located at Kamarajar Salai in Madurai).
A press statement from the TN Chamber president Mr.N.Jegatheesan here today had informed that 490 persons were inoculated- given Corona vaccine- because the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a part of COVID control measures and hence vaccination against Corona virus is a part of that.
The COVID virus vaccination camp in Madurai was organized by the TN Chamber in association with C and D Medical Association and Madurai Kamaraj University’s Women’s Studies Centre. Persons above the age of 45 years are being given the COVID vaccine. The camp was conducted at the chamber’s premises at Kamarajar Salai in Madurai city.
Mr.S.Rethinavelu, senior president, TN Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prof. Dr.M.Krishnan, Vice-Chancellor, Madurai Kamaraj University, Mr.J.Selvam, TN Chamber honorary secretary and chamber treasurer Mr.S. Sridhar, were among those present during the Corona vaccination camp in Madurai today. Madurai Corporation health teams from Munichalai area in Madurai city had given full support to this camp and the Corporation staff from Munichalai locality led the vaccination drive.
